Technology and Fitness After 50: Blessing or Curse?
Vote for Duchess! Duchess is applying to be the Top Host
Duchess is back from a 13-mile hike in Pittsburgh, John just found out his “heavy” birthday dumbbells are only 15 pounds, and together they’re asking a question every tracker-wearing 50-something has wondered: is technology a blessing or a curse when it comes to getting healthy? In this episode of Over 50 Overhaul, Duchess and John dig into Apple Watches, Fitbits, continuous glucose monitors, calorie-counting apps, and AI health assistants. How do you use a fitness tracker to stay accountable without letting every closed ring or broken streak run your day? Can AI really help with meal tracking and medication reminders? And what happens when a food app tries to guilt-trip you with a crying avocado? Plus an easy five-ingredient crockpot dinner packed with protein. If you’re over 50 and want to get healthier with a little tech help, press play. One meal and one step at a time.
